Design & Build
Process
Our Design & Build Process is intended to make the
often-intimidating task of landscaping your property,
simple and hopefully even enjoyable for you. We'll also
work hard to ensure that you get exactly what you ask
for, with no surprises. When the work is completed, we
want to have equaled or surpassed your expectations.
Our process consists of five basic steps:
Initial Meeting & Consultation
Free Estimate
Detailed Site Measurements & Inspection
Conceptual Drawing & Approval
Implementation
Initial Meeting &
Consultation
The first step in our process is meeting with you on the
site to get a sense of your wishes and viewpoints and
to gather our own initial understanding of the property.
The more information you can give us about your goals
and preferences, the better. If you have photographs or
magazine clippings of preferred landscapes, or nearby
addresses with landscaping that you like, that will all
help give us a better understanding of your vision. It
is also at this initial meeting that we can use our expertise
to answer any questions and, as requested, provide design
recommendations.
Free Estimate
Based on that initial consultation, our experienced staff
can work up a free estimate of the cost of materials and
labor needed to complete the project.
Detailed Site Measurements
& Inspection
After the initial meeting and estimate, if you would like
to go ahead with the project, our team performs a closer
inspection of your property and takes detailed site measurements,
including the dimensions of the area(s) to be developed,
degrees of slope for drainage, proximity to adjacent structures
and properties, as well as an examination and inventory
of the existing plants and soil type(s).
Conceptual Drawing &
Approval
Based on our original consultation and our follow-up inspection,
we then draft a schematic drawing showing all the work
to be completed. As applicable, this plan can cover drive
and walkway layouts, the locations of trees, shrubs, garden
beds, ponds, site structures, grading, irrigation, drainage
and lighting.
We then make another house call, this time to discuss
the prepared plan and any alternatives. Based on these
discussions, we make our final revisions to the landscape
plan (as necessary), obtain your sign-off for approval,
and set our implementation schedule.
Implementation
Now it's time to make your vision a reality. We are committed
to completing your landscaping project in a timely and
professional manner, with as little disruption to your
life as possible. We pledge to be on time and work productively
until your project is finished and you are completely
satisfied with the outcome.
